Effortless

When two spots opened up at Blanket Glacier Chalet, our good pal and lodge owner Marty Schaffer invited Eric Hjorleifson and Peter Wojnar to come for a visit. Peter Wojnar isn't just a top dog videographer, but also a heluva' skier which makes this duo a force to be reckoned with in the mountains

"We got the call from Marty during a window of killer weather, with a pretty great base already on the ground. There had been rain across the province recently so we were skiing on 30- 60cm of super blower pow on top of a firm ice crust. That is still plenty of snow to get white roomed though!

Since blower pow on ice isn't really the right snow to jump off and we really didn't want knees to the face, we focused on shooting Hoji's famous effortless style...closer to the ground this time. Honestly he makes it look so damn easy, even when it isn't great out there.
